This academic book, Reproducing the Bayeux Tapestry over 300 years: a case study in the printed reproduction of

The design was initially developed by another student during the pandemic, but required extensive refinement, including resolving typographic inconsistencies, completing the index, and fully redesigning the cover.

Solution
The final outcome is a redesigned hardback book presented with a jacketed cover. The redesign encompassed the selection of new typefaces and a refined typographic approach to the main text, footnotes, and captions.

Additional work included the design of the bibliography and a complex index, as well as the visual curation and editing of approximately 120 images featured in the concluding section, where detailed comparisons of the embroidery are made.
The cover (dust jacket) features major reproductions of the Bayeux Tapestry, each highlighting the same section to illustrate how print technologies and visual interpretations have evolved over time.
